Instructional Program (IP)
Overview
The GTHA Instructional Program provides hockey skill development for first-time hockey players. This program is designed for beginner skaters ages 5 and up. We have new hockey players starting out at all ages, and welcome them to start with IP before transitioning to one of our hockey teams.
IP will have new players running drills and small area games aimed at developing their skating and basic hockey skills. This program is a great way to develop the foundational skills and confidence of players before they join a team.
Ages
All new hockey players aged 5+ are welcome! We have many skaters that begin their hockey journey in IP and enter our age-appropriate hockey programs the following year.
Schedule
2026-2027 IP is offered in two sessions:
- Session 1: Schedule TBA
- Session 2: Schedule TBA (Registration opens December 1st 2026)
Families may register for a single session or both sessions.
